I’m Coriden Francis and I love teaching English. I’m passionate about sharing my love of all things literary while teaching the reading and writing skills that pupils need for exam success and beyond. My aim is to make what can sometimes be a painful process an immensely enjoyable one!

I read English at Exeter College, Oxford and I’ve been tutoring children for 11+ entrance exams in English for over 12 years, in London and internationally.

I have considerable experience of teaching children whose first language is not English as well as holding a CELTA qualification.

Offering tuition online has enabled me to do share my expertise and reach more pupils. It is a superb way to learn as it offers more flexibility, saves time as no travelling is involved, and is so much easier for parents. I’ve also discovered it really helps pupils to stay organised as work can be emailed and lessons recorded: it's hard to lose homework this way too!

I have been through both the 11+ and 13+ exams myself with my own children. Consequently, I have a first -hand understanding of how stressful this process can be. I am firm believer that excellent teaching and a balanced outlook really do enable children to fulfil their potential.

At 11+ /pre-test I have an excellent success rate in helping children achieve places at selective west and north west London independent day schools.
